RBMP (River Basin Management Plan)
A 6-year planning document covering all water management measures within a River Basin District — the primary EU water reporting vehicle.
River Basin Management Plan. Produced by Member States for each River Basin District every 6 years. Contains: characterisation of the river basin, review of environmental impact, assessment of water body status, setting of environmental objectives, summary of measures programme. RBMPs are submitted to the European Commission and form the basis of EU-wide water status reporting. The current planning cycle (2022-2027) ends with the next RBMP due in 2027.
